Pokémon MMO: More information about Codename Synapse leaked

The big Game Freak leak revealed a possible Pokémon MMO under the working name “Synapse” – and more details are now making the rounds online.

A few days ago, a big leak about the Pokémon series caused a stir from developer Game Freak, which also mentioned a Pokémon MMO that is currently codenamed “Synapse”. A lot more information has now trickled onto the internet about this multiplayer title, which is to be developed by Game Freak together with ILCA.

Accordingly, “Synapse” is said to draw inspiration from the successful and colorful shooter Splatoon, like the leaker Centro Leaks is now available on social media via X. The past reliable insider goes on to say that “Synapse” emerged from another project called “Rodeo”. The development took place for both Switch and mobile platforms.

While the current development status of the project is unclear, leaked screenshots show that your avatars in the title will apparently be able to ride Pokémons like Garchomp, Samurott or Electivire. Avatars can be individualized, and Pokémon should not only be able to be caught using Poké Balls, but also by climbing onto them.

Riding Pokémon is one of the main features of the online co-op Pokémon game. The borrowings from Splatoon mentioned at the beginning should, among other things, consist of a paint cannon with which you can leave marks.

There are no official statements about “Synapse” yet; It remains to be seen whether Game Freak’s title will actually see the light of day.
