JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) – A man was arrested after attacking a police officer in Jackson.

According to the Jackson Police Department, officers began investigating an incident involving a stolen vehicle on Interstate 220 and McCain Avenue on Oct. 15.

This came after the suspect, 47-year-old Anthony Johnson, was involved in a crash involving the stolen vehicle and an 18-wheeler on I-220, in which Johnson shot the driver and later shot Jackson police officers.
