“I think they were good. Really solid, really effective team,” Harbaugh said. “They scored and put points on the board. They have a great back, a great quarterback. The defense played well and turned the ball over. They play well on special teams. Really solid ballclub, and they’re going to be a big challenge for us this week.”

Herbert added: “I know they’ve had a few injuries but the guys who have stepped up have also done great… we definitely have a lot of respect for them.”

And until it gets into the game, the focus on improvement remains the same.

“One thing is getting better,” Harbaugh said. “That’s the mindset. Better, better, better. Improve, improve, improve. That’s what we’re looking for.”
