One was injured after a shooting occurred in Fresno

A man was hospitalized after a shooting in Fresno Wednesday night, Fresno police said.

According to FPD, around 7:30 a.m. Wednesday evening, a shotgun activater spotted shots fired at Huges and Dakota avenues.

While officers were responding, they received a second call from a caller who said there was a man at the scene and he had been shot.

According to police, the man was shot in the upper body.

The man appears to be around 30 years old.

The man was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

According to FPD, the shooting occurred outside of a business, but the business was not involved.

Police said they learned the shooting was caused by a disturbance.

Police released no further information and the investigation is ongoing.
