Mayo Girls Tennis wins the state championship with a team for the second year in a row

“You know, we’re excited,” head coach Jeff Demaray said. “Just so happy for the girls. You have invested so much time. Not only during the season, but also in the off-season. You know, I always say, ‘State championships are won in the offseason.’ Our players have just put in an incredible amount of time and we’re really happy for them and the captains.”

“It’s amazing,” Keely Ryder said. I know me and all these girls worked so hard in the offseason. They play so many tournaments throughout the year. It’s just great to see all the work pay off because you never know what’s going to happen on the pitch. But it’s just great to see it pay off and it’s a great way to end the season on a good note.”
