United Nations Day – Meet 8 staff who form the backbone of UNDP

As we celebrate UN Day, it is important to reflect on the passion, commitment and sacrifices of those who power the United Nations system, including the United Nations Development Program (UNDP). Many UNDP staff serve in high-risk, unstable regions far from home, driven by a deep commitment to global solidarity. Their ability to remain resilient in the face of adversity, foster partnerships across sectors, and navigate complex political landscapes demonstrates their critical role in building a better world. We recognize the persistence, commitment and commitment of its employees worldwide.

This day serves not only as a tribute to those who work in the various UN organizations, but also as a reminder of the broader mission to which they are committed: to create a more peaceful, inclusive and sustainable future. Within this ecosystem, UNDP staff play a critical role in strengthening communities and promoting equitable development through their behind-the-scenes efforts.

From administrative support to finance, procurement and technology, these professionals are the engines that drive UNDP’s mission. Let’s take a moment to get to know some of these remarkable individuals and explore how their contributions are creating meaningful change.
