Syracuse has enjoyed 12 days of rest since a 24-17 victory over the unranked NC State Wolfpack that moved the Orange to 5-1 overall and 2-1 in the ACC. Now they will look to secure their third win of the year against a top-25 opponent while remaining unranked themselves.

The Orange will likely be without top pass catcher Trebor Peña against Pitt. Peña suffered a head injury against NC State but still managed eight catches over the course of the game. He was still suffering from the injury he suffered in training that Tuesday. Fran Brown could turn to Darrell Gill Jr. or Emanuel Ross to fill the void left by Peña, who is one of Kyle McCord’s preferred targets.

Pitt is coming off a narrow 17-15 win over California, where Eli Holstein struggled with passes and threw two interceptions during the game. But the Panthers won on the ground, where Desmond Reid rushed for 120 yards, two touchdowns and 16 carries.
