LCD Soundsystem will release new album in 2025

Earlier this week, LCD Soundsystem returned out of the blue with a brand new single called “X-Ray Eyes.” It turns out that there is a lot more music from James Murphy and co. on the way.

Today’s press release announcing LCD Soundsystem’s participation in Primavera Sound 2025 includes the news that the band will be releasing a new album next year. Here’s exactly what Primavera had to say: “The influential band led by James Murphy will return to the festival (and with a new album!) to make it clear that although they are an integral part of our best memories “Their time is always now.”

LCD Soundsystem released their fourth and most recent album, American dreamin 2017.

The band will also begin an eight-show residency in Los Angeles starting October 31st. They then return to New York City for another vacation at the Knockdown Center in Queens. Check out stay dates below and get tickets here
