Temperatures will continue to be near record-breaking in Phoenix heading into Halloween week

Temperatures will continue to be near record-breaking in Phoenix heading into Halloween week

PHOENIX (AZFamily) – The ridge of high pressure controlling our weather will strengthen slightly through Saturday. That means temperatures on Friday and Saturday will be in the mid to upper 90s, with a chance of some desert locations reaching 100 degrees on Saturday.

The high temperature records for Pheonix are 96 on Friday and 98 on Saturday. There is a good chance we will meet or break at least one, if not both records.

High temperatures on Monday will still be above normal, but slightly cooler at 93°.

A front will move through from Monday night to Tuesday, which will bring a sharp drop in temperature of around 20 degrees across the country!

For the highlands, the front will bring windy conditions with gusts of 40 mph on Monday and Tuesday. The mountains may see some rain and snow showers, but it looks like it will be a mostly dry frontal passage.

For the Valley, the front will likely bring dry and windy conditions on Tuesday, with highs falling into the 70s!

For trick-or-treaters, Thursday evening (Halloween) looks cool and pleasant, with temperatures in the lower 70s just before sunset and then into the lower 70s and upper 60s.

There are signs that the cooler weather could continue into the following weekend, but stay tuned for updates.
