  • Loki is the disgrace of Elbaf
  • Loki has the power of a legendary devil fruit

Loki was first brought up in the “Whole Cake Island” storyline when Big Mom discussed her close relationship with the Giants of Elbaf. Here Oda made it clear that the giants are the strongest and most powerful in the world One piece World. According to Big Mom, if she had managed to add the strength of the giant warriors to her already powerful pirate crew, she would have been able to defeat all of the other Yonko and secure the title of Pirate King. Big Mom was certainly very lucky because Loki, the Prince of Elbaf, fell in love with Lola. A marriage was soon announced, but Lola wanted to marry someone of her choice and not let her mother control her. It was precisely for this reason that she eventually left Totland and searched for her own husband herself. This then led to Lola doggedly pursuing certain men like Absalom, which is an exciting connection to the story.

Regardless, this was a disaster for Big Mom. Her alliance with the Giants fell apart, and although she tried to push Chiffon as Lola’s replacement, it didn’t work out for her at all. Big Mom and the Giants have seen even worse relationships since then, and at the same time, as far as Loki is concerned, fans never heard from him again until the Elbaf arc.

In One Piece Chapter 1130, Luffy and the Straw Hat Pirates enter the real Elbaf for the first time. After leaving Block City, Luffy and his East Blue recruits, along with Chopper, explored Elbaf’s base and decided to go higher. But Luffy immediately sensed the presence of a strong person nearby. When he decided to check it out, that person turned out to be none other than Loki, the Prince of Elbaf, who was bound and is currently in chains.

Fans got a lot of exciting information about Loki in One Piece 1130. The Giants revealed that Loki is called the Cursed Prince and the Shame of Elbaf. This may come as a surprise to some fans, as many expected him to be on the good side, but it makes sense. Loki is, after all, inspired by the god of deceit and mischief. As for Loki from One Piece, fans know that he was born evil and has committed all sorts of heinous acts. Ultimately, his crimes became so severe that he was sentenced to crucifixion a few years ago. It is unclear exactly what act led to his order to be crucified, but it is highly likely that this occurred after Loki targeted the legendary Devil Fruit of Elbaf and orchestrated the assassination of King Harald, his own father. Loki managed to kill him and also managed to consume this devil fruit.

Curiously, it is known that this devil fruit is legendary in nature, but Oda has not yet revealed what power it possesses. As for Loki, he was fought and ultimately suppressed by all of Elbaf.

One Piece: Why Loki is called the Cursed Prince, explained

Loki is known as the Cursed Prince in Elbaf from One Piece. Here’s why.

He is now chained up at the base in the mountainous region of Elbaf, and the people of Elbaf believe that if Loki is released, he will destroy the entire world.

Who will free Loki?

The question arises as to how Loki can escape at all. While this is certainly an intriguing question, the answer is right in front of fans’ eyes. The person responsible for freeing Loki will be none other than Luffy. He has already seen him in the previous chapter and although he feels his presence, he is completely unfazed. Even after seeing Loki’s nature first hand, Luffy didn’t seem to be on guard or suspicious of him. He is quite confident and even smiles at Loki. He sees no reason not to free Loki and it is very likely that he will be the one to remove his chains for him.

How Loki could be freed

As for Luffy, fans need to keep in mind that Luffy is an Advanced Haki user. He can channel both weaponry and Conqueror’s Haki into things and destroy them from within. If he succeeds, the chains may be destroyed and Loki freed.

At some point Loki will be released one way or another One piece. The giants of Elbaf believe that the world will end once Loki is freed. However, things could be different as Loki doesn’t seem to be portrayed as the main villain. It’s likely that Loki will fight Luffy at the start. After all, Oda certainly gave him a pretty bad reputation. He has to live up to it so that the fans understand why he is so feared in Elbaf. But Loki also seems misguided in some ways. He believes he is the sun god and at the same time claims that the sun god will destroy the world.

One way or another, Loki must realize that he is not the Sun God and that Luffy is who he thinks he is. If that’s really the case, Loki could very well be allying himself with the actual sun god, namely Luffy. It must be remembered that the giants of Elbaf do, after all, worship the Sun God, and Loki certainly wouldn’t object. Furthermore, there will certainly be larger enemies in Elbaf that everyone will have to prevail against, and this could come in the form of the World Government, particularly Imu, the sovereign of the entire world. With bigger fish to fry, Loki will eventually have to side with the Straw Hat Pirates and find their side.

One Piece can be read via Viz Media. The series is officially available for fans to read for free on the Shonen Jump and Manga Plus app. The release date for the next chapter of One Piece, One Piece 1131, is November 11, 2024.
