A criminal investigation is underway after several people were injured in the Holladay fire

HOLLADAY, Utah – A criminal investigation has begun after several people, including several first responders, were injured in a house fire in Holladay, officials reported Thursday afternoon.

Several fire trucks were seen along the road near the home at 6032 South and 2075 East.

Officials confirm two residents, a firefighter and two police officers were treated at the scene for mixed injuries. A firefighter was transported to the hospital.

Officials added that a criminal investigation into the fire was underway, but did not say why.

Three pets were also involved, including one in the house and two dogs in the adjacent neighboring unit.

Two adults and two children from the main unit are evicted and three adults and one child from the adjacent unit are also evicted.

The house is currently uninhabitable and is at risk of being a total loss.
