Leaked internal report reveals HYBE’s plans to sabotage K-pop groups like aespa, IVE, NMIXX and more

During the state audit of the National Assembly, HYBE representatives presented internal documents containing shocking actions by the agency against other labels’ K-pop idols.

On October 24, a state audit was held during the National Assembly, during which HYBE’s executives were appointed as reference persons for the supervision of the Ministry of Sports, Culture and Tourism.

After the assembly’s leaked internal information was widely shared online, it caused shock among most K-pop fans after reading negative passages about HYBE’s other companies’ artists.

In the document, HYBE cited Aespa’s “poor live singing skills” at Coachella 2024, IVE members undergoing plastic surgery, called SM trainees, DKZ and ZEROBASEONE “ugly” and accused NMIXX of supporting feminists.

It is also hinted that the company has something to do with the distribution of Seunghan’s past photos online, in addition to criticizing RIIZE about her dancing skills.

Although it was not specifically stated that HYBE made these statements, K-pop fans were furious as to why the company felt the need to collect these statements and share them with its executives, leading to claims that they exploited them to plan negative media exposure against the mentioned people – about idols.

HYBE addressed this issue in a statement that has since been deleted.

“The content was shared with selected internal employees for reference purposes only and only reflected verbatim how (internet users) respond to SNS and online communities. They do not reflect HYBE’s official position (on the issues).”

HYBE further said that the entire report also contained positive reviews from the internet, claiming that by cherry-picking negative comments and making them seem like they were criticizing the artists, they were made to look bad.

Finally, HYBE issued a warning.

“We will ensure that whoever carried out this activity takes full responsibility.”
