Big Man Bakar’s three key differences

Big Man Bakar’s three key differences

Leading FPL tipster Big Man Bakar is back with his top three Fantasy Premier League differences for your teams ahead of Gameweek 9.

In the context of this article, a “differential” is considered a player owned by approximately 15% or less of FPL managers.

Big Man Bakar’s top three FPL differences for Gameweek 9

1) Dominic Calvert Lewin (Ownership: 5.9%, Price: £6.0m)

It’s hard to bet on Calvert-Lewin after his string of failures recently, but the upcoming games are good enough that I can recommend keeping the faith.

He achieved an xG of 1.3 last weekend without recording a return, making him the biggest underperformer in Gameweek 8.

Fulham and Ipswich Town are good short-term games for the owners to keep.

The Cottagers have to do without the suspended Joachim Andersen, and there are also doubts about the availability of Sasa Lukic.

Here I would finally support Calvert-Lewin in making his decision.

2) Dominic Solanke (Ownership: 13.3%, Price: £7.7m)

Solanke is another one that a lot of people are looking to sell this week.

He’s one I’d definitely keep – given the news of Son’s potential absence, he could even be in the penalty shootout.

Yes, the numbers in the last two Premier League games have been poor – he has only amassed 0.08 xG in two games, but overall his numbers this season are still good value for the owners.

Before the last two games his average was around 0.8 xG per 90, so I would be more confident in the larger sample and the Tottenham man returning.

Spurs will face Palace, Aston Villa and Ipswich in the next three gameweeks, so the fixtures are still good.

They are first in the league for xG this season, so I would bet on their attackers to be outstanding.

3) Bruno Fernandes (Ownership: 6.7%, Price: £8.2m)

For those looking for a replacement for Luis Diaz this week, Bruno Fernandes is the man.

Although this idea may seem crazy on paper, it actually has merit.

As an owner, Fernandes really tested my patience with just 21 points from eight starts, but his underlying stats show he was unlucky.

His expected non-penalty return is 3.43, which is much higher than his two assists. United’s poor finishing didn’t help either, with seven goals for an xG of 12.4.

Bruno, on the other hand, is firmly anchored in the lineup and is responsible for set pieces and penalties.

He could turn things around with favorable games against West Ham, Chelsea, Leicester, Ipswich and Everton in the next five gameweeks.
