One dead after officer-involved shooting in Minot

FARGO, N.D. (Valley News Live) – A man has died after an officer-involved shooting in Minot Friday morning.

On Friday, October 25, Minot Police were called to a residence in southwest Minot at 7:30 a.m. for reports of a domestic disturbance.

Minot Central Dispatch says they received a call and heard an argument between a man and a woman, and during the call they heard threats about using a firearm.

Upon arrival, Minot police said they used their department-issued firearms and shot the man involved in the domestic disturbance. According to officials, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Minot Police Department says the officers involved have been placed on administrative leave per protocol and the North Dakota Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI) has taken over the investigation.
