1 was taken to the hospital after a shooting in Bishopville

BISHOPVILLE, SC (WIS) – One person was hospitalized after a shooting in the Bishopville area.

According to Bishopville police, the department received several 911 calls Wednesday afternoon regarding multiple shots fired in the area of ​​W. Cedar Lane.

Police responded, but moments later received another call about a gunshot victim on Munnerlyn Street.

When they responded, police said the victim was taken by helicopter to Palmetto Richland Hospital.

The shooting is being investigated by Bishopville police.
