Men’s tennis begins at the Ivy League Conference Masters Qualifier

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Harvard men’s tennis saw a duo and two singles players advance to day two of the Ivy League ITA Conference Masters Qualifier this afternoon.

The pairing of Mitchell Lee And Valdemar Pape continued his unbeaten streak and opened the fall by defeating Alex Knox-Jones and Leo Pade (Dartmouth) with an 8-6 decision.

In singles, the Crimson recorded two more victories. First, Pape picked up his fourth win of the season by defeating Alex Finkelstein (Brown) in straight sets 6-3, 6-4.

Lee also advanced to the round of 16 after Hikaru Takeda (Dartmouth) retired at the end of the second set.

In doubles, Lee and Pape will face the Brown duo Finkelstein and Alexander Bravo tomorrow at 10:00 a.m. The duo will then face two Cornell opponents at 1:30 p.m., with Pape taking on top seed Rodrigo Fernandes and Lee taking on Petar Teodorovic.
