Hollywood actor reveals he was kidnapped and raped by a serial killer

A few months later, Merrill read a story in the newspaper about how bodies were discovered – and recognized the exact location.

He said: “I called the newspaper and said, ‘This guy raped me.’ The man who answered said, “What was your name?” I didn’t say my name because people knew that was his father.

Merrill stated that he hung up and that he would “step forward” if police needed help.

After being convicted of the brutal murders, Gacy was executed by lethal injection in 1994 at the age of 52.

After the incident, Merrill moved on with his life – and continues to do so.

He said: “I was in group therapy but that wasn’t the point. I had a friend who had AIDS and I joined a support group. I read that Oprah is doing a show about forgiveness.”

“There was a woman who was raped, beaten and left to die. She said if she doesn’t forgive her attacker, she won’t be able to move on with her life. I knew I had to do this – to somehow forgive Gacy.”
