When was the last Castlevania game released?

While the phrase is now closely associated with the Metroidvania genre, the Castlevania Games started as an independent project in the same year as the original Metroid and at the same time founded a new genre.

How many main Castlevania games are there?

It began its long run almost 40 years ago in 1986. The Castlevania series has basically never stopped releasing new games in the whole game. Lords of Shadow became a blight on the series, but stopped brand new mainline entries.

From 1986 to 2014, A total of 25 mainline entries were published. In fact, most remakes are ignored! So yeah, quite a lot to empathize with as a vampire. The various Castlevania collections are now surprisingly easy to access.
