Quarterback Patrick Mahomes didn’t have a great game with his arm on Sunday, but he showed off his rushing abilities again against the San Francisco 49ers.

The Chiefs had a two-score lead late in the third quarter at Levi’s Stadium when Mahomes ran and gained 33 yards on an electric strike.

This was an incredible piece.

It turned out that this was only Mahomes’ second-best rush on the drive. The Chiefs took the ball to the 49ers’ 1-yard line as they faced a fourth-down play.

The Chiefs never thought for a minute about attempting a field goal, and you know they don’t do quarterback sneaks these days. But Mahomes eventually ran for a touchdown, carrying 49ers defender Malik Mustapha to the goal line.

“I didn’t even try to run him over,” Mahomes said in a postgame interview with Fox Sports’ Erin Andrews. “I was just trying to get into the end zone. I’m a little heavy so I gained a little weight so I got in there.”
