Bella Hadid attends Hailey Bieber’s Rhode party in a surprisingly ladylike look

Over the past few weeks, Bella Hadid has been trying out a lot of aesthetics for size. There are dozens of Buckle Bunny outfits she’s donned for rodeos in Texas and nights out in NYC. Then there are the black jeans and a soon-to-be-viral Coach bag that she wore just yesterday to channel her inner Meg Ryan circa 1998. However, to support her close friend and beauty founder Hailey Bieber, Hadid opted for a radical left, opting for ladylike pumps and playful dresses in a bombshell vintage outfit.

Hadid toasted Bieber’s new Rhode Barrier Butter during an intimate dinner at Funke restaurant in Los Angeles. At the Rhode launch party, she joined the It girls at the round table – Kendall Jenner, Kylie Jenner and, of course, Mrs. Bieber – wearing a tailored mini dress with wrap detailing at the bodice and a ruffled skirt. If you guessed that she and stylist Molly Dickson went the archival route, you’re right: The dress has “Vintage Bombshell” written all over it, particularly with Valentino tags.

Hadid added some off-duty model energy to the look with a Saint Laurent bomber jacket, which she casually held in the crook of her arm. (In other shots from the evening, it rests over her shoulders like a leather cape.) To add a ladylike touch to the outfit, she slipped on a pair of pointed-toe kitten heels with a bow and styled her hair in a silky, side-swept style.

During the party, the group ate Rhode brand rolls and took photos at a flower-covered table. The woman of the moment, Hailey Bieber, wore an oversized pinstripe suit and tie – reminding everyone that she is a modern-day mogul.

Hadid also took the time to pose for a TikTok with Kylie Jenner and Kendall Jenner, who each appeared in revealing black tops. Claudia Schiffer, who stars in Rhodes’ Barrier Butter campaign, was also dressed all in black.

Bella Hadid has worn both vintage dresses and plenty of leather jackets, but never quite in the combination she chose for Hailey Bieber’s Rhode-fest. The last time her Saint Laurent bomber jacket was seen was in Paris, where Hadid paired it with a plunging neckline top before her return to the Saint Laurent runway.

As for archival dresses, they were the stars of their Orêbella fragrance press wave in May. She attended interviews and parties in looks that ranged from a Valentino butterfly dress to a floral corset dress that seemingly referenced the Met Gala’s “Garden of Time” theme. (Unfortunately, she wasn’t actually there.)

After her recent runway appearance at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show and her strolls around LA, Bella Hadid seems to be back in the fashion world. Her look for the Rhode party reminded me how much I’ve missed her: no one can bring old and new together better than her.
