Where is Kamala Harris on Saturday? A look at their schedule

Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump are returning to battleground states this weekend. Both candidates were in Texas on Friday as their campaigns work to “get the vote out” before Election Day on November 5.

A new set of polls shows the presidential race remains tight in many of the battleground states and could swing either way: in the Rust Belt trio of Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin and in the Sun Belt quartet of Arizona, Georgia, Nevada and North Carolina.

On Saturday, former first lady Michelle Obama and the Democratic presidential candidate will travel to Kalamazoo, Michigan, for a joint “Get Out the Vote” rally – the first day of early voting in the state. This will be her first campaign event for the Harris-Walz campaign.

Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, Harris’ vice president, will kick off the Southwest weekend starting Saturday in Las Vegas. He will then travel to New Mexico and the Grand Canyon State to campaign for the Democratic nomination. His itinerary includes a stop in Window Rock, the capital of the Navajo Nation, followed by a rally in Phoenix.

Looking ahead, Harris plans to travel to Philadelphia on Sunday and then to Ann Arbor, Michigan, with Walz and singer-songwriter Maggie Rogers on Monday, according to the Detroit Free Press.

On Tuesday, just a week before the general election, Harris will give a speech on the National Mall in Washington, D.C., with the aim of making a last-minute appeal to voters. Nearly 8,000 people are expected to take part in the campaign, according to a permit application filed with the National Park Service on Oct. 18.
