18 additional polling stations opened on Friday

(EL PASO COUNTY, Colo.) – The El Paso County Clerk and Recorder’s Office will open 18 additional Voter Service and Polling Centers (VSPC) on Friday, November 1st.

These locations will also be open Saturday, November 2nd from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., offering voters who work during the week the opportunity to vote in person. As part of the final phase, an additional 14 sites will open on Monday, November 4th, bringing the total number of available VSPCs to 38. All locations will be open November 4th and 5th from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

The primary purpose of a voter center is to register new voters, update voter registrations, and issue ballots to voters who did not receive a letter in the mail. Voter centers also offer ADA ballot marking devices for people with disabilities. If a voter prefers to cast their vote in person, they can visit a voter center and receive a paper ballot to cast and deposit, or they can drop off their completed mail-in ballot in person. All ballots, whether absentee or in-person, are processed the same way.

Once you have voted for your mailed ballot, you can drop it off at one of El Paso County’s 41 secure drop boxes that are open 24 hours a day.

The Secretariat expects voter turnout in the parliamentary elections to be extremely high at 90%. Voters are encouraged to cast their absentee ballot early and drop it off at one of 41 secure, 24-hour ballot drop boxes located throughout the county. Locations and maps are available at www.epcvotes.com.

Returning ballots early will help election staff keep up with the timely processing of election night report results.
