Rain slows commutes Wednesday morning

CINCINNATI (WXIX) — Wednesday is a day of initial weather warnings as rain will impact drivers during the morning commute.

The FOX19 NOW First Alert Weather Team says the rain will be widespread and heavy enough to cause some slippery roads.

Rainfall peaks between 3 and 5 a.m. and then slowly tapers off.

Roads will still be wet around 7 a.m., but by 10 a.m. there will be only scattered rain in rural counties east of the metro area.

There will be some lightning and thunder, but no severe storms.

Wednesday will be cooler but still mild with a high of 69°.

Thursday and Friday will be dry with high temperatures in the mid 60s.

This weekend there is a chance of rain on both Saturday evening and Sunday.

Highs will be in the mid to upper 60s.
