The AX-4 crew leaves the international space station, starts home with the journey home

Astronauts will be injected down on July 15th at 4:31 a.m. CT

After about 433 hours, 18 days and 288 orbits around the earth, which have covered almost 7.6 million miles since docking with the international space station, Axiom Mission 4 (AX -4) crew is officially bound home. Commandant Peggy Whitson, Pilot Shubhanshu Shuckla and mission specialist Sławosz Uznański-Wiśniewski and Tibor Kapu were stuck out of the surrounding laboratory today at 6:15 a.m. and marked the conclusion of their on board.

The crew is now on the way to the earth, with a splashdown off the coast of California, tomorrow, July 15th, at around 4:31 a.m. CT. Your return home will take about 22.5 hours. The live report on Splashdown begins at 3:30 a.m. CT, available via Axiom.space/Live and SpaceX.

AX-4 was not only a scientific success, but also a historical milestone for India, Poland and Hungary. For the first time in over four decades, these nations started national astronauts in space – and for the first time they lived and worked their astronauts on board the international space station. This mission was a new chapter in space research for these nations, whereby the path for future missions paved in and inspired a broader participation in the global space community.

When the crew returns to Earth, they bring effective scientific data and will of teamwork, perseverance and a mission that have combined people from all over the world. The time in space is a memory that the nations can continue to go on next to each other – not only in the distance, but in what we can achieve together.
