LAPD boss reveals more details on the child's death near the Müllcontainer in Panorama City


Los Angeles (KABC) – There are new details in the death of a boy who was found near a dumpcontainer in a parking lot from Panorama City at the weekend.

Jim McDonnell, head of the Los Angeles police, said during a meeting of the police committee on Tuesday that the boy was between 5 and 7 years old and showed signs of trauma.

The child was not identified and there was no agreement with a missing person, the boss added.

McDonnell said that the investigators had identified the area for surveillance material and “several potential sources of evidence”. A arrest has not yet been made.

“We coordinate with regional partners and continuous efforts to identify the victim and to determine the circumstances in connection with this tragic incident,” said McDonnell at the meeting.

The officials found the child's body on Saturday morning after reacted to the 8200 block of the Van Nuys Boulevard, said the LAPD.

According to reports, a homeless person found the boy and had someone called for help.
