Lynden Gooch: Huddersfield Town signs the former defender of Stoke City


Huddersfield Town has signed the former right -back of Stoke City in a three -year contract.

The United States International was released by the Potters on and its contract last month and has become the ninth sign of the Terrier summer window.

Gooch was born in California, but joined the Sunderland Academy at 16 and played 246 games for the black cats, 11 of them in the Premier League.

He was part of the team, which suffered successive votes in 2017 and 2018, but also played a role in Sunderland's return to the championship in 2021-22.

For Stoke, he signed an undisclosed fee in 2023 and his last season in the club was affected by an injury, which reduced him to 23 appearances.
