Smack Dab in the middle of the Hot Dog season is a day on which the Frankfurter: National Hot Dog Day celebrates, which falls this year on Wednesday, July 16.

According to the National Hot Dog and Sausage Council, the time between the Memorial Day and the Labor Day is viewed as a “Hot Dog season”. During this time, consumers buy around 38% of the hot dogs of the year that achieve sales of 1.16 billion US dollars, the group estimates.
