Trump was frustrated with the refusal of the Federal Reserve to reduce interest rates, what the president says that the federal government would boost trillion dollars of credit costs and economic growth. Powell has given the risk of inflation due to Trump's tariffs as the reason for maintaining interest rates.

Trump replied to reports that he had designed a letter to prepare for the dismissal of Powell. He denied that he was preparing to relieve Powell, and said that he was “highly unlikely” that he “does not have to leave it”, which indicates that Powell had misused Gelder in a renovation of the Fed headquarters of the FED in a renovation of 2.5 billion US dollar.
