Uncaged Fury: Enjoy this fake film trailer with Johnny Cage from Mortal Kombat II.

Although the official trailer for Mortal Kombat II only falls on Thursday, July 17th, Warner Bros. released a fake film in the A-Movie trailer for Uncaged Fury, an action film from the 1990s with Johnny Cage (played in this film by Karl Urban).

You can embed this trailer via the player above or the below.

The trailer is located in the style of the kind of kitschy action films of the 90s, in which Steven Seagal, Jean-Claude van Damme, Gary Daniels, Jeff Speakman or Michael Dudikoff may have played the leading role.

The overly serious voice -over tells the viewers: “You angry him … you fucked with his shadow … you should have brought more boys.”

We see logos for Johnny Cages other 90s films: cool hand cage, difficult to cage and rebel without a cage.

And in a nice gesture, these three fake films and the uncaged fury of New Line Cinema, the real studio behind the Mortal Kombat films of the 90s (and the restart of the 21st century and its upcoming sequel) were made.

The trailer shows a martial art in a warehouse between cage and some rackets (which are dressed in true 90s fashion). There are flips and kicks and Johnny Cage changes “Showtime!” Shortly before he fights.

After Johnny took care of the boys, a lady appears in a red dress with a rocket launcher and cheers him. Johnny makes an absurd high jump, with the rocket rising just below his crotch and then defending physics based on the angle, which was fired, rolling upwards and taking out a helicopter.

The only real reference to Mortal Kombat itself is the franchise logo that quickly flickers about the final title for uncaged fury.

Mortal Kombat II opens in the cinemas on October 24, 2025.
