Lynx 'McBride replaces Dream's Howard in Saturday all-star game


The Minnesota Lynx Guard Kayla McBride will replace the injured Atlanta Dream Guard Rhyne Howard as a reserve in the WNBA All-Star game on Saturday, the league announced on Tuesday.

McBride was selected by WNBA commissioner Cathy Engelbert, who names all the replacement players required for the game.

McBride will play in the game at 8:30 p.m. ET (ABC) in the Gainbridge Fieldhouse Fieldhouse in Indianapolis for your team of Lynx teammate Napheesa Collier. Howard was selected by Collier in the All-Star Player draft. Team Collier will take over the Captain Caitlin Clark team.

It is the fifth all-star appearance for McBride (33) and her second in a row. It is currently 14.1 points and 3.1 templates for first place from 19-4.

Howard was one of the 12 reserves selected by the trainers of the league. But for the rest of July it will get out of the way for the rest of July due to a violation of the left knee, which she suffered against Indiana fever on Friday. Howard, the No. 1 Draft Pick in 2022, was honored for the third time this season.
