Fire Engulf's main stage of the Morgenland Festival

A fire destroyed the main stage at the Tomorrowland Festival in Belgium in Belgium, just two days before the event was opened.

“Due to a serious incident and a large fire on the main stage of Tomorrowland, our beloved main level was badly damaged,” said the organizers of the festival on Wednesday evening.

The explanation states that nobody was injured during the fire.

The Electronic Dance Music Festival is scheduled to begin on Friday. 400,000 people are expected over two weekends.

Videos published in the social media shows Flames and Gray Smoke to conquer the stage. Firefighters are at the crime scene in the city of Boom south of Antwerp.

Some media reports indicate that the fire may have been triggered by pyrotechnic devices.

In an update published on the festival's website, the organizers said that the campsite would be opened on Thursday as planned and that they “focus on finding solutions for the festival weekend”.
