Natural gas leaves busy Nixa, Mon., intersection

Nixa, Mo. (Ky3) – Emergency crews closed the state Highway 14 in Nixa on Wednesday because of a natural gas leak.

The incident occurred on Wednesday afternoon near the intersection of the Main Street west of the O'Reilly Auto Parts Store. A tree team hit a gas line, which caused immediate security measures. Spire crews are working to repair the damaged line.

The repairs could take hours. Coordinate rescue workers and pension employees to ensure public security and to restore normal flow of traffic as soon as possible.
