The FHP said that the Big Rig was on the I-95 south when it turned into the middle of Lane and hit a 2024 GMC Savana who pulled a trailer with a 2008 Toyota Rav4.

Both vehicles ran off the street and the tractor -trailer overturned and spilled plastic tubes onto the highway, said the FHP.

According to the soldier, a 2003 Nissan 350z beat the pipes.

The Big Rig driver was brought to the Halifax Health Medical Center in Daytona Beach with non-life-threatening injuries, said the FHP.

The GMC driver, a 59-year-old woman in North Carolina, and her passenger, a 70-year-old woman from Miami, were not injured. The Nissan driver was also unharmed.

The lanes towards the south were blocked by the fallen semi -traction and the whistles, and the lanes to the north were closed due to a fuel leak by the Great Rig. Two lanes to the north were later reopened.

However, the traffic was on the shoulders in both directions shortly after the first wreck.
