The Toronto fans have to wait until next year to see Mitch Marner's expected return to the Scotiabank Arena when the Vegas Golden Knights visit the Toronto Maple Leaf on January 23. The superstar striker spent his first nine NHL season with his hometown Maple-Leafs before sending himself on June 30 with a lettering from Maple Leaf and the change of murder near Vegas. Marner had 741 points in 657 games with the Leafs, but wore a large part of the creditor of Toronto, who was upset about the lack of playoff success of her team. Marner, who will conclude an eight-year contract for $ 96 million, will reunite with former teammates a few days earlier, visited Toronto on January 15.

End back

The Edmonton Oilers do not have to wait too long to get another bang from the Panthers in Florida, as the finalists of Stanley Cup are to climb from the last two seasons on November 22nd in Sunrise, Florida. It was the eighth time that a Canadian team did not go back to the country's Stanley Cup Dürre until the 1993/94 season. The teams meet again on March 19 in Edmonton. Florida won both games of the regular season against Edmonton in 2024-25.

Rivalries lived again

The start of the season will record the resumption of hostility among the Canadian teams of the NHL and their rivals. The league will pause for 19 days on February 6th to record the men's hockey tournament at the 2026 Olympic Games in Milanda-Cortina. It is the first games in which NHL players have been seen in Sochi, Russia since the 2014 Winter Olympics.
