Danville, Ill. (Magic wand) – Three men were arrested after a theft in retail, which was pursued on Tuesday evening.

The Danville police responded to reports on theft at Meijer after an employee had been beaten when they confronted subjects.

The incident turned into a vehicle persecution when the suspects refused to stop for the officials.

After the persecution, the suspect's vehicle fell at N Vermilion St. and E Madison St., where they had escaped on foot.

DPD managed to capture the three suspects, and officers found a firearm, ammunition, illegal narcotics and stolen objects from the theft.

Brian Chesley from Champancign, Andrew du from Champaign and Jeremiah Merrick from Bloomington, every 18 years old, were arrested.

Chesley was given theft in retail, stricter flight and pleasure, intensified illegal possession of a weapon that hinders or disagrees a peace representative and criminal employment damage.

Merrick was booked for theft in retail, intensified illegal use of a weapon– Possession of a pistol below the age of 21, possession of a controlled substance, disabled or resistance to a peace officer and a tightened battery.
