Victoria police debt man who is accused of Australian police and police work

A man who is accused of stealing “a municipal crime car” that was used in an arson attack on an arson attack on an synagogue in Melbourne was arrested and accused, whereby Victoria's police also claimed that he had prevented detectives from accessing apps on his phone.

The attack on the ultra-orthodox adass-Israel synagogue in December is still being examined as a politically motivated attack by the Victorian joint terrorist team, which includes representatives of the Federal Police and the domestic espionage agency ASIO.

The 20 -year -old man was arrested in the suburb of Williamstown in Melbourne on Wednesday and charged in November for theft of a blue VW Golf.

He was also charged

The leaders of the Adass community were informed about the situation by high -ranking members of the Victoria police, including the leading investigators, shortly after the arrest on Wednesday. They were informed almost weekly.

So far, the police have not arrested anyone who has been accused of ordering or performing the attack. On Thursday, in which age reported, the investigation “had stalled”, partly due to the use of encrypted technology, which hides the identities of the parties involved.

The Victoria police did not comment on encrypted technology, but said that the investigation was a priority and was still examined as a more likely terrorist attack.

After the arrest, the police were looking for a house in the suburb of Melton South, in which detective “objects that undercut further investigations” confiscated.

Officials who were previously described as a “municipal crime car” say that the vehicle was also used in November in an arson attack in the Lux Nacht Club in Melbourne's South Yarra, as well as a shootout in Bundoora the same night as the synagogue.

The nightclub fire and shooting are examined by the Victoria police and is not considered politically motivated.

The car was also associated with “a number of serious and violent crimes”, including severe burglaries and “petrol drive processes” in Brunswick, Cranbourne North, Caulfield South and Hampton.

In May the police said the car was equipped with cloned plates.

The police then said the film material then showed: “Three people who were dressed in hoodies and masks climb the vehicle and use an ax to damage the entrance of the synagogue”, and “at least two people start pouring the content of red Jerry sockets into the entrance to the synagogue before entering the building”.

“It shows that the people make several trips to the Gulf to get more Jerry cans poured into the synagogue before the liquid has been inflamed.”

The police claim that a person had recorded the attack on their phone.

The 20-year-old man was granted a conditional deposit and will appear in court on October 3.
