The young Elyjah Hearn, 5, was found next to a medical building in a parking lot near the 8200 block of the Van Nuys Boulevard on Saturday morning.

“We are still shocked and we take it really hard,” said Aunt Alicia Jennings.

Jennings was one of the people held on Tuesday. Her husband is Gaddis' brother.

She added that Elyjah and her son Mesiah were the best friends.

“He plays with my child,” she said. “They grew up with the spectrum of autism. So Elyjah couldn't really talk. He learned words by being with my son. They played a lot.”

Jennings said the police took away their children during the arrest. The investigators asked Jennings, but finally published them. The authorities asked them to identify Elyjah's body.

“I cried all day because I was already robbed by her children,” said Jennings. “To see the body of another child that I have to identify, and not even think that this could even happen because they come across a little in the house and everything seems normal.”

The boy's grandfather, Troy Hearn, described him as a joy that it loved to run and play. He added that he had helped him educate him with his wife before she died.

“I'm just so injured and that's so serious,” said Hearn. “I will miss his presence.”

Hearn and Jennings said they want the right justice for Elyjah. Jennings said she was still fighting to believe the allegations against her brother -in -law.

“You never know what a person is able to do until you do it,” said Jennings. “There could be something else behind closed doors.”

Jennings said people had attacked her and her children. She asks her to stop.
