Prosecutor in Diddy and Epstein cases released by the Ministry of Justice

The US Ministry of Justice has released an experienced public prosecutor who worked against the sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, his accomplice Ghislaine Maxwell and Hip Hop Mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs.

It is not clear why Maurene Comey was removed from her job in the southern district of New York, but her exit was confirmed by sources to the US partner CBS of the BBC.

She is the daughter of the former FBI director James Comey, which President Donald Trump released in 2017.

The Ministry of Justice has released lawyers who have worked on cases that annoy the president, including a special examination by Trump.

Ms. Comey, who has been a process lawyer at the top -class office of the Ministry of Justice since 2015, received no explanation for her dismissal, a person who was familiar with the matter said politico.

Their exit, as Trump and the leader of the Ministry of Justice, Attorney General Pam Bondi, came against the treatment of files in relation to Epstein.

The well -networked condemned Pädophil died by suicide in a New York prison while waiting for the process in 2019.

Bondi seemed to indicate in February that she would publish the Epstein customer list before saying last week that there was no “stressful list” and that no further files were disclosed.

The prosecutors are intended to examine Comey's statements about the congress for an investigation into the alleged Russian attempts to influence the choice of the White House in 2016. Trump did not let this probe summarize with the Kremlin.

The agency has been cleaning civil servants since the Republican President returned to office in January.

Last week Bondi released at least 20 employees who had roles in special consultants Jack Smith's twin examinations about Trump's efforts to overthrow his defeat against the 2020 presidential election and the alleged abuse of classified documents on his Mar-Lago estate in Florida.

A number of prosecutors who accused participants in the US Capitol Riot when Trump stormed the congress were also released.
