Several counties under a flood guard in Western North Carolina

Ashe County, NC (WBTV) – On Thursday, a flood guard was issued for several counties in Western North Carolina.

The watch – which was issued by the National Weather Service – includes the following counties:

  • Alleeghany
  • As he
  • Stokes
  • Surry
  • Watauga
  • Wilkes

Other counties in nearby parts of Virginia, Tennessee, West Virginia and Kentucky are also among flood guards.
