Kansas City fall floods falls on Interstate 35


Mission, Kan. (KCTV) – Flood floods of severe thunderstorms in Kansas City did unprepared the drivers in the early Thursday morning.

Traffic cameras showed two cars that were caught in the North Johnson County in flood on the Interstate 35.

The emergency team reacted to the area and closed the alleys to the north until the floods subsided.

It was a similar problem in the entire subway when people did on the streets at the beginning of the morning rush hour.

From 5:30 a.m., the list of closures on the most important interstate was numerous:

  • MISSOURI
    • EB I-70 closed at I-435
    • EB/WB I-70 closed on Broadway
    • SB I-435 in front of the I-70, the lanes closed due to a crash
  • KANSAS
    • NB/SB I-35 closed in Lamar
    • NB I-635 Past EB I-70 closed
    • SB I-635 to NB I-35 closed
    • SB I-35 closed on 18th Street Expressway

The Kansas City fire brigade reported that the emergency team reacted to more than a dozen water rescues early Thursday morning.

The department said that these rescues expected to continue until the rain stopped.
