How to download YouTube shorts

YouTube has created shorts to compete with TikK and Instagram Reels. However, an important function is missing: the possibility of downloading the short videos directly on your device, unless you are your own. Fortunately, there are still ways to save your favorite clips for the later advertisement. Here is a breakdown about how to do it.

1. Use YouTube Studio to download your own shorts

If you ever have to download your own shorts, we say another device that is possible without third -party tools. You first have to register on this device in your YouTube account. If you do this from a PC, click your profile picture in the upper right corner and choose YouTube Studio.

From there access Contents In the menu on the left. Switch to the shorts Tab on the right. Move the mouse about the short film you want to download. Click on the three point symbol shown below.

Choose Download From the menu.

In the mobile app, tap your profile picture in the lower right corner. Choose Your videos.

However, most of us will download YouTube shorts created by others. In this special scenario, the simplest solution is to use a web tool. You can access it via your browser on the PC or in your mobile app.

There are many options when it comes to websites that can download content from social media apps. We use Savetube for this tutorial. Another popular alternative is savefrom.net.

Open the website on your device and then navigate to YouTube.

Click on the PC shorts To display your short form video feed.

Find a short one you want to download and press share Button on the right.

Click the copy Button for the link he generated.

Alternatively, you can copy the link that is displayed in the address bar above when you display a specific short film.

Switch to the mobile phone on the cell phone shorts Tab below. Press the share Button.

Choose Copy link.

Now switch to Savetube in the browser and insert the link into the address bar. Wait a few seconds and the website recognizes the clip immediately.

In the format you choose to download the video and then press the Get link Button.

The video should be downloaded immediately.

3. Use an app of third -party providers on your cell phone

If you are constantly downloading videos from social media, not just YouTube shorts, you may benefit from the installation of an app from third-party providers on your device.

For example, if you are on Android, you can use the memory app. Unfortunately, these types of apps on the iPhone or iPad are not very common. Instead, you will best use the previous method.

Open the app and insert the URL you have copied from YouTube in the pole. Wait a few seconds.

As soon as the miniature image is loaded, select the video quality and then click on the Download Icon to start the process.

When the video is finished, see the path for the video on your device. Tap to open and look at the clip.

If you use a third-party YouTube app like New Pipe or Libretube, you should be able to download shorts from there (although in some cases reserved with some). However, note that these apps are usually not available in the Google Play Store and therefore have to download them from APK form.
