New Orleans Trio, who is charged with blackmail in Adan Manzano's death

NEW ORLEANS. (KCTV) – The public prosecutor's office in New Orleans says that Kansas City's sports reporter, Adan Manzano, had been the victim of a year -long criminal system.

A week after WVUE had been reported that they were expected, Danette Colbert, Rickey White and Christian Anderson were officially charged.

The Jefferson Parish public prosecutor says that the trio used prostitution from 2012 to lure victims and drugs to switch them off before stealing phones and wallets to attack the victim's bank accounts.

Colbert, White and Anderson had already been arrested and charged with various crimes.

A toxicological report by Jefferson Parish forensic doctor showed that Manzano's death was caused by a combination of Xanax and alcohol. Telemundo Kansas City's sports reporter was in New Orleans to report on Super Bowl 59 between the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles.

He was found dead in his hotel room. Safety material showed that Colbert left his hotel room and the couple ran around in New Orleans.

White was charged with a further 15 new crimes in June. He is now facing more than 30 cases in three communities in Louisiana.

In May Colbert was sentenced to 25 years for an earlier conviction.

On Thursday, the affidavit, in which the educational fees were unveiled, included an exchange of text between Anderson and another nameless employee, in which Anderson recognized the danger of subjecting people with Xanax.

“I now tell her that she has to learn new things,” wrote the employee.

“Yes, she does before she accidentally kills an M-feris,” replied Anderson.
