Before the hearing began, relatives and friends of the accused filled the left side of the courtroom's gallery. On the right side, Joey Perry's mother Mari Ausiello was accompanied by more than a dozen supporters.

Another respondent said she knew Blakely and, according to McGill, he completed the Pahrump Valley High School in 2024. She also said that Blakely was known to wear a “fully automatic Glock pistol”.

When McGill was asked because Glock did not produce or sell fully automatic weapons, he said: “It would be changed as semi -automatic and modified, illegally changed in order to be completely automatic.”

Blakely's lawyer, Michael Troiano, previously told The Las Vegas Review-Journal that there is “many speculations and no facts” in this case.
