Jared Leto is the ultimate soldier in New Tron: Ares Trailer

San Diego Comic-Con gets up next week and Disney is preparing for her big presentation by publishing a new trailer Tron: AresDirected by Joachim Rønning.

(Spoiler for Tron: legacy below.)

As reported before, Tron: legacy ended with Sam Flynn (Garrett Hedlund), son of Kevin Flynn (Jeff Bridges) from the original film and prevented the digital world from bleeding into the real world, like the malignant ruling program of the grid, CLU. He brought Quorra (Olivia Wilde), a naturally occurring isomorphic algorithm who aims at the extinction of Clu.

Disney Greenlit A third film in the franchise in October 2010 to pick up where legacy Stopped and follow the adventures of Sam and Quorra when Sam took over the full control over his father Encom's company. By 2015, the studio reported that the project was canceled due to the gloomy cash benefit from Morning. The project was revived by 2020 and as an independent restart and not as a legacy The sequel, although the main KI, Ares, appeared in previous (pre-reboot) versions of the script. A pandemic and a few Hollywood strikes later the finished film will finally be released this autumn.

The official premise is concise: “Tron: Ares Pursues a highly developed program, Ares, which is sent to the real world on a dangerous mission from the digital world and marks the first encounter of humanind with AI. “Jared Leto plays as Ares with Evan Peters and Greta Lee plays Julian Dillinger and Eve Kim.
