A roof shows new affordable houses in Duluth

Duluth, Minn. (Northern News now) – New affordable housing construction is now on the market in Duluth.

A roof community apartment presented five new houses on Thursday in an open day, which celebrated the 375th Community Land Trust Home program of the organization.

According to a roof, the Community Land Trust program Houses kept around 75,000 US dollars below the market value.

Jeff Corey, the managing director of One Dach, says that this is possible with the financing of the state and the city of Duluth.

“If you have apartments, you will be better workers, be better parents, be better students, better church members, whatever people do,” said Corey. “If you have good, safe, affordable and high -quality apartments, it makes your life better and then our communities will be stronger.”

Partly financed by Minnesota Power, the houses were built with energy -efficient and sustainability features such as solar panels, which were installed in the houses.
