Several counties under a flood guard in Western North Carolina

Ashe County, NC (WBTV) – On Friday, a flood guard was issued for several counties in Western North Carolina.

The watch – which was issued by the National Weather Service – includes the following counties:

  • Alleeghany
  • As he
  • Caswell
  • Stokes
  • Surry
  • Rockingham
  • Watauga
  • Wilkes
  • Yadkin

Other counties in nearby parts of Virginia, Tennessee, West Virginia and Kentucky are also among flood guards.

The National Weather Service The clock will come into force on Friday, July 18 at 2 p.m. and go through the evening.
