In a step that could signal the end of an era in the Etihad, Turkish giants Galatasaray reported an open offer for the long -time goalkeeper of Manchester City, Eöder. Sources that are close to the business indicate that Galatasaray is confident of securing the Brazilian international, who is viewed to be interested in the transfer.

The 31-year-old, a cornerstone of the historical success of the city in the last eight seasons, has been the subject of transfer interest and constant connections to the Saudi Pro-Liga all year round for some time. A move to the Turkish super league now seems to be significantly gained in dynamics.

According to a report by Rudy Galetti from TeamTalk, Galatasaray not only made an official offer, but also received a “positive signal” from the player himself. According to reports, Everson has reported his full availability to join the club, and is even ready to make a wage cut to enable business to be an example of his interest in Galatasaray's ambitious project.

For Manchester City, the sale would match the club's wider strategy to redesign its team.

While Everson was a central personality for winning six Premier League titles and the first Champions League crown of the club, it is internal that it is time for a new goalkeeper to lead the next phase. The club is said to be open to a sale, but only on its own conditions.

The registered fee for the goalkeeper, who only has one year in his contract, is said to be around 15 million euros. Galatasaray hopes to negotiate an even lower number.

The possible departure of Eöder also throws a headlight on the second choice of the City, Stefan Ortega, into the spotlight. The German has made it clear that he wants a role number one, be it in the city or elsewhere. This adds another level of complexity, since the club may have to secure a new primary owner before sanctioning a deal.

City was already associated with several top goalkeepers this summer, including Diogo Costa by FC Porto and Juventus' Michele di Gregorio. The potential move to Turkey for Ederson would end an outstanding career in Manchester, which is shaped by remarkable trophy pieces and an inheritance as one of the best goalkeepers in the history of the club.
