For his 88th birthday, Krispy Kreme gives the customer a gift: a deal with a dozen donuts.

If you order dozen donuts at a regular price on Friday, July 18, you can get a second dozen original Verglaster donuts for 88 cents. If you drive or buy in the shop, you can double two 88 centers (if you buy two dozen at regular price). Online buyers for collection or delivery orders are limited to a dozen.

The deal is good in participating shops while the supplies last. If you order online, use the code “BDay” to get the offer.

“Eight and eighty -eight has never felt so good and tasted,” said Alison Holder, Chief Brand and Product Officer from Krispy Kreme, in a press release. “It is a real joy every year to celebrate Krispy Kreme's birthday with our fans and spoil them with a special deal. We are so grateful for their love and loyalty.”

Krispy Kreme History: From North Carolina to the world

Krispy Kreme, headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina, now has more than 357 shops in the United States. In addition, its donuts are sold in thousands of supermarkets and convenience stores, can be ordered for delivery according to the app and online for delivery, and the company works in more than 40 countries.

The company was founded in 1937 in Winston-Salem, NC, by Vernon Rudolph, who, according to Krispy Kreme, bought a secret recipe for yeast donuts from a French chef from New Orleans.

Rudolph began to sell donuts to grocery stores, but her aroma began to attract attention.

“The passers-by, who drifted onto the street due to the irresistible fragrance of Doughnut-Making, asked if they could buy hot, fresh donuts,” said the chain in her 88th birthday press release. “So Rudolph cut a hole into an outer wall and began to sell original glazed donuts directly to customers on the sidewalk.”

The latest on Krispy Kreme menu: Superhelden -Donuts

The Donut chain pointed to the arrival of the new “Superman” film and cooked a donut collection “Hungry for Heroes”, which is dedicated to DC -Comics Superhelden:

  • Superman Donut: A unglazed shell that was filled with white Kreme, which was immersed in light blue icing and was crowned with clouds with Superman butter cream -aromatized clouds and is adorned with a picture of Superman and Spreater -Blend.
  • Batman Donut: An unglazed mussel -Donut with cookies and cremes, immersed in black chocolate glaze and crowned with a bat emblem.
  • Wonder Woman Donut: An original glaster donut, which is dipped in red glaze with raspberry with white stars and blue sprinkles and a Wonder Woman logo and a belt for Wonder Woman.

The donuts, which were added to the menu on July 8, are available individually and in a tailor-made dozen box for a limited time in the participating US stores (also for collection or delivery via the app and website of Krepy Kreme).

Next week, from July 24th to 27th (together with the San Diego-Comic-Con) you can get a free hunger for heroes Donut if you flash a few DC comics superhero flair while the supplies last.
