Heavy rain, harmful winds on Saturday in the Lansing area

Lansing – On Saturday, July 19, in the thunderstorm in Central Lower Michigan there is a chance of thunderstorms, and some of them could be serious, said forecast.

A graphic published on Friday, July 18, the National Weather Service showed that the southern half of the lower peninsula had a low risk of storm on Saturday at 1 p.m. and 8 p.m.

Hearing winds are the biggest threat, and rain could be difficult locally, said forecast.

It is unlikely that thunderstorms that develop in the morning can be serious, but they are possible storms in the afternoon south of a line from Muskegon to Mt., the weather service says.

The heights were expected to be in the Lansing region in the mid -1980s, with a rainy probability of 70%. Sunday was expected to be sunny, with heights of around 80 degrees.

High temperatures could rise to around 90 degrees by the middle of the week, with more rain or thunderstorms.

Despite the chance of thunderstorms on Saturday, the weather service forecast good swimming conditions on the banks of the Lake Michigan this weekend. Waves from one foot or less were expected on Friday, July 18, with waves of one to two feet on Saturday, July 19 and Sunday, July 20.
