Samuel Jackson in 'Tulsa King' Spinoff 'Nola King' with Stallone

Taylor Sheridan is expanding the “Tulsa King” rim with Samuel L. Jackson to lead the new series “Nola King” in New Orleans.

Jackson, 76, the star of “Pulp Fiction” and The Marvel Comic Universe, heads his first TV series with the first “Tulsa King” pinoff for Paramount+. Jackson's character Russell Lee Washington Jr. is presented in season 3 by “Tulsa King” with Sylvester Stallone, which are planned for September.

“Nola King” follows Washington (Jackson), who was friends with Tulsa MOB boss Dwight Manfredi (Stallone) during a 10-year stay in the federal prison. Washington is sent to Tulsa by the New York Renzetti Crime family to take out Manfredi.

Washington changes his opinion, “inspired by what Dwight created in Tulsa and impressed by the possibilities of second opportunities,” says Paramount+ in his announcement. “Washington returns to New Orleans, the house he gave up 45 years earlier to resume his relationship with his family, friends, and take control of the city that he has left behind.”

The TV role marks another legendary senior actor who found new life and action -in the Taylor Sheridan TV universe -, to which Stallone, Kevin Costner, Harrison Ford, Helen Mirren, Billy Bob Thornton and Demi Moore.
